Six years in the saving, three years in the planning and now it will be a reality! We, Carla and Jim are taking a vacation to Israel in October, for Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) .
The tickets are purchased, as of today. We will be flying via Delta Airlines. We will leave on Wednesday September 30th At 1:21 pm from Las Vegas, NV. We are scheduled to spend about two hours in Atlanta Departing for Tel Eviv Yafo Ben Gurion Int. at 10:35 Pm. With an overnight sleep on the plane and loosing 10 hours we will arrive in Israel around 4:25 Pm on October 1st.
Our Destination is the KHT Pesione/Guest House in the town of Karnei Shomron about 30km from Ben Gurion Intl Airport. The ten day tour is sponsored by Kol HaTor and there will be a total of 16 people in the tour. We will spend a lot of our time visiting areas of Israel that the commercial tours do not visit. We will have an opportunity to visit with the people of the settlements as well as visiting Jerusalem. It is exciting for us to have discovered this tour and having the opportunity to be a part of this small group.
The plan is to take a laptop with us along with the camera, and at the end of each day do a post of the days events and pictures. To do that Megan has to teach me how to down load the camera and transfer them to the blog. I will also need to have the time and energy after a day of site seeing.
As we get closer to the departure date I will give a little more of the Itinerary.
